Hey idiot! Walter and I have a very unique friendship. I don't think either of us really understands it and neither do most of the people that know us. They just do what we do - they accept it. Walter and I first met at an OCA-YP function in 1992. At the time, I thought he was a total *bleep*. He was friends with a guy who was dating my roommate and used to call over asking for him, completely ignoring me even when I answered the phone. HOW RUDE. Our two friends eventually got married, and it was only because he was my ride to their wedding were we actually forced to be civil to one another (4-hour drive). Thus marked the beginning of our great friendship.

Aside from that connection, Walter and I ran in completely different crowds. We very rarely partied together, but he and I used to hang out a lot on weekends. He used to make me run ERRANDS with him, basically. We didn't always have a lot to say in the car, but whenever a certain R&B song would come on the radio, he'd frown, look at me sideways, and start to bob his head. What a ding dong.

Walter and me in Hong Kong, 1996? Can't remember... In any case, I watched this guy start out in his career as a building constructor I mean contractor, and I can proudly claim that I helped him build his very first residential property. I put the light bulbs into the ceiling while I stood on Walter's shoulders, and I also advised him on where to put the towel racks on the bathroom walls as he had no idea where they should go. Higher. No lower. Left left. Okay looks good Walter. I didn't know what I was doing either.

We were both pleased when the house got sold. Walter always complains that I don't give him enough credit for his professional accomplishments when in actuality I admire him a lot more than MOST of the guys I know. And I'm as serious as a heart attack when I say that. Now if that ain't a decent compliment, I don't know what is. What more do you WANT from me BOY?
