Lisa and I first met in 1995 at one of Bob's infamous house parties, although back then I thought she was a total S-N-O-B. She mentioned being from D.C. where I used to live, but when I said, "Hey! I used to live there too!" her only response was, "Oh." It took me awhile to get used to her. I don't know exactly when Lisa and I started hanging out, but all I do remember was calling her from a pay phone at the Taipei Train Station on a Saturday morning, trying to get her out of bed to join me and a bunch of people who were going to Fulong Beach for the day. Lis was way too late to make it on time, so we had to leave without her. She said she'd try and catch up with us later, but Fulong Beach from the Taipei Train Station is an hour and a half outside of the city. No one ever just "meets us there". Two and a half hours later, when I saw Lisa walking up the beach to where we were camped out, I said to myself, "Hmmm... I shall get to know this girl."
That is how I know Lisa.
