Laurie is my housemate, along with Adella, and has been for over four years. Gosh I cannot believe how quickly time flies! There's nothing she can't do, from fixing machinery to catering elegant wine and cheese parties to squashing huge spiders bigger than her face to refurnishing antique chairs to sewing curtains for our living room windows. She is one determined woman with a very spunky attitude, and there is nothing that stands in her way.

Laurie also happens to be one very nice and generous person, and one of my closest friends in Taipei. She has an incredible gift of being able to connect with people, and that is the reason why people are so drawn to her. Professionally, she is a private counselor and conducts a variety of corporate training and communication courses for companies in Taipei. I don't know who is more passionate about her work, I or she, but at any point in time, you'll usually find us both working away at our computers at the apartment, and let me tell you something... that ain't normal!

Between the two of us, there is a lot of high energy in the apartment. With that, and our totally twisted sense of humor, there's always something going on. I can't ask for a more awesome housemate than Laurie, and I say that with a huge smile on my face. She's a great gal.
