Jim was one of the first persons I met when I first moved to Taipei in 1995. Everybody loves Jim because of his *witty* sense of humor and his unusual gladiator skills, a very cheerful and popular guy. Jim probably had as many housemates and moved as many times as I did here in Taiwan... I'm just surprised that *we* were never housemates at one point in time!

Jim is always full of energy and ready to have some fun. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen him without a sincere smile on his face -- an endearing quality that to me is a rare find. For that reason, I had a very hard time writing up this profile. He is just an overall terrific guy.

Jim is one of a handful of individuals who went out of his way to help us out with ORIENTED when we first started out, something I have always appreciated. But let it also be known that Jim (now living in the bay area Shanghai) was the first person to sign and mail the profile waiver back to me here in Taipei when I first launched *this* site, significant only because at the time -- I had not yet written this profile.
