Christine at Mike's place in Taipei

"Yet another Sunday in Taipei..."

I woke up late this morning -- went to bed late AGAIN -- and caught Mike in the living room, quietly doing his morning Chi-Gong, as seen below.

MAN... I sure wish I had an AUDIO CLIP of that kung-fu theme song! You know the one... LOL!

I tell ya... living with Mike has been quite entertaining I mean enlightening...

I then had a very late brunch (oh alright, lunch!) with Rose, Karen, Rick and Caroline at Dan Ryan's where I ordered an eggs benedict, oh yum yum...

Unfortunately, the waitress who took these photos for us was having problems understanding what we meant when we said, "Can you take a picture for us?"

What in the heck was that woman aiming for?! We even made the request in Chinese AND gave her not one but TWO chances!

Our barely making it INTO the second photo had all of us hootin' and hollerin', so much so that we didn't even bother to ask her to please try again.

NEVER MIND.

From there, the five of us walked down to Chung-Hsiao together -- the day was absolutely beautiful -- and on my way to meeting Gus at my Yen-Ji offices oh I mean at the Yen-Ji Starbucks, I ran into these two lovely chicas:

Like I said, Taipei is like one big college campus. You can't go anywhere... without running into someone... doing something!

Case in point!

Gus had called me several times in the day wanting to hook up for reasons I could not understand, but once we sat down over a cup of coffee to talk about what was currently on his mind, I was like.... hmmm... velly interesting...

Gus also offered something to me on the spot that SHOCKED ME.

Whether or not we actually close the deal is not important as I appreciated the gesture, in and of itself. I still can't believe it... too much going on over here...

Right after he left, Mike called me on my cell phone (it's as if he was SPYING on me this whole time!) to ask me questions about his new website, so instead of staying PUT to work on the financials as I had originally intended, I ended up going back to the apartment to help the guy out.

What can I say?

I'm a nice chica, and he's a nice chico. =)

Plus, I needed his help to explain to me the latest revisions to the financials as it was just going to take me too long if I had to try and figure it out myself. Truth comes out. The woman always has to have at least ONE ulterior motive, though I like to think of it as making the most of my time.

Yes?

No?

We had dinner at Mr. Paco's and discussed the compensation structure over a salad, a pasta, and a pizza. Nelson had taken a first stab which we had printed out and reviewed in great detail. Meanwhile, we got coffee and tea, compliments of management since I go there all the time (so sweet!), and afterwards, on our way to IKEA, we ran into BenQ Ginny, Yaping, and their friends on the street!

University of the East District, I tell you!

Now it's midnight my time, and I am writing up this journal entry while I wait for San Mateo Nelson to WAKE UP so that I can call him to give him the latest revisions. In the meantime, I do have most of the backlogged entries written up - so much has happened this past week, it's been a little crazy - but I don't have time to check and post them for public view at the moment, outside of this little teaser, pun intended! =)

This is me and Serena, my cousin Dennis' little girl who took a liking to me, oh yeah! lol... She and her little sister both are such cuties and are loved by many in our rather large, extended family... lucky ducks!

Oh Nelson... wake up por favor... we have work to do... tap tap tap...

We have GOT to get this compensation/financing structure finalized ASAP if I'm ever gonna get my butt off La Isla Formosa!
