"Charlotte Ying, BusinessWeek, and ORIENTED..."
I left the house with Corrina on her way to work to somehow get plane tickets to Shanghai, leaving tomorrow.
I was winging it, per usual.
Prices at the local travel agencies near her office were all pretty standard at HK$1470, so Corrina went out of her way to help me find a lower price, which she did with Alvin's help who was in Shanghai on business!
Jetsetters these two are, as this entry would go on forever if I were to list all the traveling the two of them do on a regular basis.
They pretty much took care of everything and I just had to pay them the money -- what would I do without them, eh? -- so I spent pretty much the entire rest of the morning at the Starbucks near Times Square, reading the rest of the users manual for that gosh darn adserver that we just got installed!
All 98 pages!
I was so proud of myself when I got to the last page and was happy that I finally understood how it works, in theory at least. I was avoiding that manual like the plague as I really cannot stand reading such documents and didn't think I'd ever get to it, in all honesty.
Will we actually be able to start selling banner ads, pray tell?
We'll see what happens.
Interestingly enough, this adserver -- if I am to understand it correctly -- is quite powerful. The more I read about its functionalities, the more I am starting to like it, a lot. Gus had recommended it to us, as he and I had gone through several other packages back in the days of .ORG.
Corrina and I had JAPANESE CURRY for lunch -- good stuff I tell ya! -- and then I ran home to try and get some work done online for a few hours before meeting up with Charlotte Ying of dnmStrategies for two hours later on that afternoon, that which resulted in our very first partnership with BusinessWeek Asia.
I really liked Charlotte a lot, and it would appear that this partnership is the start of hopefully long-term, good relations between dnmStrategies and ORIENTED.
Cool beans.
Afterwards, I went to Corrina's office to work some more -- we were there until well after 9 p.m. as she too has major deadlines to meet -- and afterwards we grabbed some congee (yummy!) to eat at home.
Man... there's just a little too much going on for my little head to handle...
