Consequences of being a workaholic...

Today flew right by. There simply aren't enough hours in the day. All I remember about the morning was Walsh calling me to give me the go ahead with yesterday's journal entry. Some ex-beau's I'm sure would prefer NOT to be mentioned in my journals which of course I can understand, but I figured Walsh wouldn't mind and had sent him an email yesterday to make sure it was okay. See how considerate I am?

So this morning my phone rang and the voice on the other end said, "Hi this is White Boy, I'm looking for Yellow Girl, would that be you?" Cracked me up. Just as we started talking, Acer Ginny pops in front of my face like a freakin' jack-in-the-box. Apparently she banks with the branch office upstairs and had to come up to take care of some stuff. So we hopped over to Warners for lunch, and ended up shopping at one of the stores there. I think what it is, is that SHE makes me want to shop. Don't ask me why.

Off to visit my grandmother...

I finally got back to the office and was too tired to do anything else so I took off for home and immediately DIVED for my bed. I was SO TIRED at 4 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon! I guess all those long hours are finally catching up with me. I was supposed to go visit Wypoh (I need to write up her profile) this weekend but just couldn't go straight to Chung-li as I had originally planned. I really needed to sleep first.

By the time I got up, packed, got to the bus station and then to her place, I was truly exhausted. I had just enough strength to eat dinner with her and then sit down to watch those corny t.v. shows with her like I usually do. By 8 p.m. I had apparently passed out on the couch because all I remember was waking up and looking over at my grandmother who was sitting right next to my BUTT. I forced myself to stay up until midnight to make sure I wouldn't wake up at odd hours in the night and totally screw up my sleep schedule.

Ginny (the other Ginny) called earlier to say hello. She was in Chia-Yi on her way back up to Taipei. We haven't connected in such a long time which at first was my fault because I all of a sudden got really busy with this site, but then she had a zillion out-of-town guests to entertain and then went out-of-town herself on business. So retarded yet so typical of life in Taiwan. We work in adjacent buildings for Christ's sakes, you'd think we could get together more often. We made a pact to grab lunch together next week.

That was the extent of my Saturday.
