Sunday, October 15th I woke up at TWO P.M. WHAT THE #&*%! It's been YEARS since I slept in THIS LATE. GET A LIFE CHRISTINE.
I finally quit working on this site last night around 9:30, changed, and then sat down in the living room to take a breath. I really didn't feel like going out but it was Jennifer's going away party, so off I went. Jen's phone was turned off so I called Ginny who said they all just left the restaurant and for me to go straight to OD. I get to OD and no one was there yet (who goes to OD at 10:15 on a Saturday night?), so I called Wayne who was still at the restaurant and headed back over there with only one thought in mind:
At the restaurant were Wayne, Herman, Jack, Kevin (who "works for a management consulting firm called McKinsey"... Kevin do we look like idiots to you?), and his friend Jimmy, and not too long after that a whole slew of other people, including Jimmy C. whom I haven't seen since Mark's going away at Bob's. We were there for a while. Herman was the spotlight of the evening when we noticed his latest cell phone wrapped in Saran Wrap. Apparently the cover for this particular model was not out yet. Hey Herman. Does this mean that you also leave the plastic covers on your furniture? Eventually we got to OD, and it dawned on me that I haven't been there in over a year sans the CAPT anniversary party back in May, which didn't really count. Friends back home don't believe me when I tell them that I don't go out any more... here's proof baby! I barely recognized the place as they evidently renovated the interiors, and for the better.
![]() Anyway, it was INSANE. I couldn't believe the craziness that was going on. Everyone was there, Jen, Andrea, Frank, Lyon, Barbara, Paul 1, Paul 2, Dennis, Jay, Tommy, Tracey, Jelly Bean Ginny, Judy, Bo-Lai, Mike, Patty, Angela, Sam, Ben, Augie, Patrick, everyone from dinner plus a ton of other people I didn't know. I had my camera the whole time and regret not taking any pictures, ack! The photo above is from another party... what more could you ask for I say?! I also realized that there were a lot of people that I'm pretty close to in this town whom I've never been out clubbing with. Jay was one of them, and MAN can that boy BOOTIE SHAKE. WORK IT JAY. I just LOVE those New Yorkers! And of course I can't not mention Mike L., who fell asleep against the wall. Tell me. How does one fall asleep at OD? Someone put it best as I was leaving the joint (no pun intended) in saying, "There was a lot of WEIRD #&*%! goin' on tonight. The gang was like... grabbin' each other and #&*%!...", to which I said, "Oh... You mean it's not normally like this?" having been away from the party scene for so long. "No!" he says. Oh! Well........ I enjoyed myself immensely!

Just goes to show how out of shape I am. The good news is, I lost some serious weight from that one evening. The shorts I'm wearing today are falling off me. Also... it's raining. Made me feel a little better since I totally slept through the Terry Fox Run. I meant to go. Laurie and I went for coffee, and it's now 4 pm. Back to work.
