"Cell phone bills..."
Yep yep yep. I'm finally getting around to paying them. I finally figured out why I have had such a resistance to paying them (am four months behind now) and yet have no problems paying my other bills. It's because I don't *understand* them (statements OR rates), and didn't want to take the time to understand something which I feel should be obvious to me. I'm self-destructive in that way...
So I called FarEastone yesterday to find out why one phone call for 1.03 min. = NT$10.4 and another for 2.0 min. = NT$7.2. Turns out that a) the original rate plan in my contract was high and that it's not even an option for new customers any more (but I can't change it until the contract expires, next month), and b) calling non-FarEastone numbers is almost double. Great. Well now I know.
Anyway, I got out of the office really late last night and grabbed some food with Brent. He was trying to show me his "mean" look when I took this photo.

Taipei's Ever-Revolving Doors...
Got together with Ginny, Tommy and Bo-Lai for lunch today. They're all lookin' really good. Tommy's off for b-school soon so we're going to try to get together every week until he leaves. Awww... ugh... sheesh... more people leaving. Guess I'll have to replace Tommy's profile with Bo-lai's. She's much cuter, no?!
In the meantime, one of our friends is moving to Beijing with his entire family, Mike is there now on business, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I claim that it's only a matter of time that we're all going to be working there and specifically made a BET with Bo-Lai that she too will be there with the masses. She begs to differ so I'm noting it here. Actually umm, I don't see myself well, okay, shhh! Never mind!
MAN Bo-lai is all-business! Definitely a babe in total control of HERSELF! She walked into the restaurant on the phone (business call) and sat down while still on the phone and kept talking on the phone even after the rest of us placed our orders. When she finally got off and realized this, she gave us one of her great, big smiles and said, "Oh! When did you guys order?!" Tommy tried to hit her.
ANYWAYS... I have to say that I really love this new design format for my journal entries, the more and more I look at it. Makes my rather monochromatic babbling just that much more interesting... sorta. Maybe? No?! Okay fine. Whatever.
