Leaving Seattle...

It was kind of weird. I think I was actually starting to get used to being there. Never a good thing to stay in the U.S. for too long, in my humble opinion. Anyway, so we took off in the early morning for Albert's office where I worked on my laptop in an empty cube. My flight was a little after noon, so we had just enough time to meet PT for lunch at Quiznos and MAN were those sandwiches ever good! WOW.

Acer Ginny pulled into town the night before (she's here for a wedding) so I talked to her on the phone briefly before taking off for the aiport. Had we planned it a little better, we might have been able to hook up in Seattle! Oh well, maybe next time. I had fun and Seattle was a cute little town, but I was also glad to get back to my life in Taipei.

The flight to Narita was relatively uneventful. I did try to get some work done but ended up sleeping uncomfortably most of the way. Luckily I found some workstations at the Narita Airport lounge where I was able to "plug-in" my laptop and get a few things done in between transfers. I also met a businessman named MONTE, who was quite the interesting fellow.

The coolest part of my flight back to Taipei was running into --> Auntie Dorcas and Uncle Jonathan (see above) as soon as I stepped foot on the plane. That was pretty wild. They've known me since I was 12 and yet till this day still call me Hsiao Ching. Too funny. We took the airport bus back to Taipei together, during which time they lectured me on "life". Always good to hear what older people have to say. Us young folks, what do we know anyway?!
