Saturday, March 24th

Another beautiful and fruitful day in Taipei.

Why I always go off on the weather here is because it's normally CLOUDY and ICKY this time of the year. I just don't get it but I am not complaining.

Anyway, I had intended to see the doctor this morning but ran out of time and am working on my sites instead. Clearly I've got my priorities in order, si? I rarely get sick (I don't even remember the last time I was sick) and am not allergic to anything except for men who lie about being married (sorry, that just rolled off my tongue), I eat relatively well and I'm pretty ACTIVE, but for whatever reason, I have been in a lot of physical pain for quite some time now. Just been ignoring it.

About my PROBLEMO.

At first I thought it was just carpal tunnel (like that isn't a huge problem in and of itself), but my back hurts, my TOES hurt, and even my ELBOWS hurt. There is never a moment where I'm not aching but only recently started to worry because I can't explain the ELBOWS. Cheap shoes and a lot of walking on poorly paved sidewalks explain away my TOE problem, back pains from sitting too long (though my posture is not BAD, imho)... but my elbows?

I shot off an email to Gabe (Mr. M.D.) earlier this week to see what the top three possible illnesses could be so that when I went to see the doctor I'd have some idea of what to expect. Gabe and I had talked extensively about this when we last saw each other but I had forgotten the medical terms he mentioned. Even so, Gabe doesn't think I have one of those joint diseases (gout, etc.). Still, I don't understand it.

Could it be... gulp... OLD AGE?!

Gods. I hope not. I'm gettin' up there but I ain't *THAT* old. I guess I'll try to find some time next week to see the doctor. We'll see what happens. In the meantime, I just finished the Email Bulletin for Monday and am taking off for Patty's BBQ in Pei-Tou. After that, all the babes are meeting up again for Ladies Night Out din din (it seems like just YESTERDAY we got together!), and after that, we're going to a fashion show, and after that, who knows. I kinda want to be home early tonight to rest up for tomorrow's big 6-hour MJ SESSION.

I will admit -- it's GREAT to have active friends who are always planning things. I used to be a "planner" too but these days if no one calls me, I happily return to my abode and veg. Only my best of friends know what a loner I really am. I've given up on trying to explain my SPLIT personality a long time ago, but even now I'm sure there will be people reading this entry and going, YEAH RIGHT CHRISTINE. Would you please just SHUT UP?

"Life is Beautiful"...

Short note. Need to go to bed. Patty's BBQ up at her grandparents' place was amazing. There is no other way to describe it. I took a lot of photos but unfortunately ran out of shots for the evening activities. Frank's fault, but I shan't elaborate here (lol). Click on the photo below to see more pictures of today's outing. We want to do this EVERY Saturday, lol.

Lots of food, lots of sun, lots of fun. The photos speak for themselves. Afterwards, some of us had to take off early for the "Babes & Bitches" dinner (I did NOT agree to that name by the way, ahem!), and that was yet another rockin' good time. The group is growing (12 came tonight). A few left for the fashion show, but in total we stayed there for over three hours and then went to Tickle My Fantasy. I've never seen such comradery amongst so many women -- all capable, attractive, and very LI HAI -- than I do here (Taipei). It's quite an experience.

One major topic of discussion was how very disappointed many of us were with the ending of the series of BIG DADDY DU -- we were bonding BIG TIME on this issue -- but I'll have to go into that later. Apparently, that was a REALLY popular show, so much so that TTV is going to run it again. Some of us really want to rewrite the ending for them. How very funny.
