Well well well...

Gus sent me the NYT's article entitled, "Bush Is Providing Corporate Model for White House". I was thoroughly impressed. It reminded me of my days as Chair of CAPT and how psycho I was back then. MAN I really tortured those guys. Sometimes I surprise *myself* at how easy going I can be about certain things and yet how STRICT I am about others.

It also reminded me of the development period for ORIENTED when Gus and I held meetings once a week -- just the two of us -- at a local coffee shop or restaurant to go over the details of our progress. Though we were friends and housemates, we both took those meetings so seriously! VERY PROFESSIONAL were we. When I look back, I almost want to laugh.

Gus and I wanted to keep "business" out of the house, so we would meet at a set time every Monday evening some place nearby. Except for a handful of occasions, we were ALWAYS on time, and our meetings often lasted three hours or more. That seems like AGES ago.

We developed all kinds of meeting procedures to ensure that we stayed on track, and Gus was always FULL of new meeting formats for us to "communicate better". He took that stuff SO SERIOUSLY that I could not but go along with him. Some of the "programs" he put us on (including tape recordings of our meetings) would make even Lien Chan laugh out loud.

One of these days I shall go into the finer details of Gus' programs. That boy is an absolute HOOT. The animated banner above was made by the Little Devil himself. Since he didn't like the one I created a few weeks back, I had invited him to make his own version.

Before I forget...

Ever since I put up this site, I'm realizing more and more how many there are out there just like this. It's awesome to see so many people creating online journals, and on top of it all, I get to MEET some of them. Sam I "met" yesterday, and lo and behold, today happens to be his BIRTHDAY! Happy birthday, Big Guy!

Sam actually put me in his links page. COOL. I've been debating whether or not to have one and still haven't decided on a "strategy". I know I know, always gotta put a twist on things. We'll see what happens. The one below was just, plain, adorable. Liz's page. I surfed her site for quite awhile. For some reason the SUPA LIZ skit reminded me of Gus. Dunno why.

Another personal site that I fell upon was of this guy, ERIC. Haven't "met" him yet, but I was absolutely endeared to the young man. So inquisitive, so thoughtful, musically talented, and a computer science major to boot, and so... so... YOUNG. Fascinating.

And on a more serious note...

Looks like my CFO-For-Rent position description won't be posted for another week or so. It's gotten a little more complicated than I originally anticipated. But I'm okay with that. It's all one big learning process for me. I need both a number-crunching financial analyst *and* a seasoned CFO who knows how it all jives in Greater China -- rolled up into one -- who is willing to help me work through my figures without a committed compensation package.

I'm up for the challenge.

Time for me to get creative once again. We'll see what happens. In the meantime, I had a long talk about this with Razorfish David last night. He has offered to look over my dotcom screen shots and give me a thorough cost assessment. I need this info before I go in search of a CFO. David also, in all seriousness, asked me to look him up if we ever get funding. He wants *IN*. I'm convinced that God sent Razorfish David to my apartment... for a reason.

Had lunch with Wennie outside. Another gorgeous day in Taipei.
