Trust me. You can MAKE it.

I finally finished the job description for the CFO For Rent. That took the best out of me but it was worth the effort. I've asked a handful of people in the finance industry to look at it and make sure it sounds relatively intelligent. I also asked Mike to take a gander. Of course, his initial reaction was that I'm looking for the wrong person. Great. We'll see what happens.

I should be posting it in a few places by noontime tomorrow. The bottom line is that financial analyses is not my strength, and while I can certainly take the time to gather all of the data (cost of doing business in Greater China, compensation packages, as they significantly vary from city to city in this region, in-house versus outsourced FTE, etc.) and learn how to create business models, etc., it's just not worth it to me. I'd rather hire an expert to do it.

My latest obsession...

Today was yet another gorgeous day in Taipei, so I stepped out for lunch to get a hand roll (as directly translated from Mandarin). I'm not a health food fanatic but this little food stand near my office building sells 'organic' foods, and the hand roll that they make is absolutely YUMMY. I can't seem to stop talking about it.

It kind of looks like a Vietnamese spring roll, but it is actually quite different. They stuff (and I mean STUFF) a wheat wrap and dried seaweed wrap with bean sprouts, carrot shavings, red peppers, lettuce, raisins, apple slices and other fresh and all-natural foods, and they add a little bit of thousand island dressing which makes it taste SO GOOD. I am totally hooked!

A hectic day at the office...

Jimmy came through for me and gave me this banner. He says he didn't make it specifically in response to the email I wrote him yesterday, but it makes me wonder... LOL. I also surfed around a bit for other webrings and associated sites. A lot of interesting stuff out there.

My phone kept ringing off the hook today, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but one thing kept leading to another and by the end of the day, I could not make it to the Iandi event at the Petit Sherwood that I was hoping to attend. Too much work to do.

I'll try to stop by later on to drop off a camera for Andrea. After that I'm off to Rich's place to check out his software programs for my laptop. What I'd really like to do though, is go home and sleep, as in... right now. I'm tired, and I got a headache to boot. Sporadic entry today.
