On this date last year...
"A beautiful day in Taipei City..."
Wow, if only every day could be like this... an absolutely gorgeous day. I got up pretty late this morning and had to push back my meeting with the web developer until the afternoon. I was feeling a bit wiped, but what the heck. LOL. This time the meeting only lasted for about an hour.
We first went over last minute details of the launch of Phase 1 which again, can be ready as early as next week. They've set up the design and table structure, I'll be managing the content going forward. It's such a fun idea and so easy to put together, and yet it's a wonderful "pre-marketing" tool while we work to get the rest of the site (original concept) up and running.
With it, we've bought ourselves a little bit of time and will not try to rush to meet our initial 8-10 week production schedule as originally planned. WHEW.
The meeting concluded with the decision to begin site production as of Monday.
Afterwards I took a cab to Cafe Laureant to meet up with Sandin and Ginny who were sitting outside having coffee. It was such a beautiful day, and Wa-Wa also honored us with her presence, lol. Ginny just moved into the city and is REALLY enjoying herself, it's almost comical.
But that's the thing about living in Taipei. There are lots of really cool people who live here, but unless you have a car, whom your friends are end up being those that live closest to you... in my book anyhow.
Sandin and I spent the rest of the evening hanging out at the apartment and doing work. Not exactly the PARTY GIRLS OF TAIPEI, eh? We're cool like that, lol. I worked on the launch of Phase 1 and tried to clean out some more files.
Tomorrow I'm going to the gym first and then meeting up with Mike for lunch to go over term sheets, the engagement letter, trademark fees and the company registration papers for ORIENTED.COM. Right after that, I race to Keelung for a family dinner (Dad's side). I thought about canceling out on that, but I figured, what the heck. Family's family. Can't really get around that.
It's a good thing, but MAN. Tomorrow's yet another long day.
