Home with the folks...

Yesterday I went to church with my parents -- too much to say about religion and not enough time to really delve into the topic -- and spent the latter part of the evening hanging out with Tommy and Tommy.

Tommy is one of Tommy's best friends from when I was in high school (those guys are four years older than I, if I remember correctly), and the three of us used to hang out ALL the time.

Much of my humor (laugh) was influenced by them, though I still can't decide if it was for the better, or for the worse. And this was the first time I had seen the other Tommy in awhile since he doesn't live here any more, either.

After all these years, we are all still very single.

What is wrong with that picture?

LOL...

Anyway, for the hell of it, we three did something together which, if it pays off, will bond us for life.

That's all I can say for now (I know, retarded).

Like the fake smile? =)

I got home around midnight and didn't get to bed until 5 a.m. doing two things.

One was emailing with the tech and data entry folks in Taipei who were working on the BHAG, Monday morning their time, meaning there was a lot of activity going on after the weekend lull.

But the other thing I was doing was just surfing the Internet like CRAZY, desperate to read something interesting before going to bed and not being able to turn out the lights until I was satisfied (which never happened).

That doesn't happen to me very often, but when it does... it drives me nuts.

So anyway, I woke up today around noon, hated that I got up so late, made myself a pot of coffee, and helped my parents set up their computer and personalized homepages for future use, which took me the latter part of the day.

I already got my birthday slash Christmas gift -- a very nice leather jacket which we picked up while Christmas shopping for others over the weekend -- so today seemed like any other day at my parents' home. Birthdays aren't a big deal in my family, can you tell? That is why I can never remember other people's birthdays either (except for those that call me in advance to specifically remind me, lol).

That's my excuse anyway...

I actually sat down to write about my setting up my parents' personalized homepages because it was quite the interesting experience, but I have to get to the gym before it closes.

Last but not least...

I was going to wait until the New Year to whip out this new journal design, but what the heck.

It's my birthday!

Might as well.

The old design was really getting on my nerves and I've been wanting to change it forever, so here I am, once again, smiling for the camera, and letting go of those 468x60s once and for all (sad, yes?).

I am still playing around with the overall design -- not quite satisfied with it -- but sign my Guestbook and tell me what you think, hao ma? =)

I'm out.
