Adella and I had tentatively planned to have coffee this morning, so she called me this morning at Flora's to see if I was still up for it. SURE, I said, and met up with her within the hour before taking off for Wypoh's for the rest of the day.
I can't believe Adella's back and I'm SO glad that we got to see each other before I took off for the States. She's a real sweetie and a lot of fun to be around, we had some good times back when she and Laurie were living at the apartment.
Soon after, I took off for Taoyuan and got a haircut at the usual hairdresser before taking a cab to Wypoh's new place. Spent some time with her, Dennis, Hwei-Mei and little Serena before Uncle James cruised in.
We played around with Dennis' digital camera and goofed off with Serena (she's so cute!) before having lunch together (dumplings, yay!) and then hung out on his floor (on the 3rd floor, I mean) messing around with the computer and chatting with David (cousin David) online before I had to go.
'Twas a relatively uneventful day if I remember correctly, with me just trying to finish packing while spending time with the relatives. I made it back to Taipei just before dinner, stopped by Flora's and John's to pick up my laptop and do some work back at the apartment, and got a Caesar's Salad from TGIF's to take home for dinner.
A bunch of people were getting together at Room 18 that night for Ken's birthday (Ken and Gary, Ken) which Flora and I had planned to go to -- it would have been nice to go out one more time in Taipei -- but by midnight, we both decided to bag it, as I was still packing and doing work on the computer and she was wiped.
So that's that.
Everyone else was at the apartment, and I think I crashed on the couch that night too. Feels totally weird to not have my own place to go home to any more...
