On this date last year...

"When will this END? Help!"

As the packing frenzy continues, I took off just before noontime to get my last paycheck at my day job (gulp!), update my bank records and check my mailbox before meeting up with Gus, Evelyn, Loren, and Liz, former and current editors at CETRA. Sam, a new guy, also joined us for a bit at the Korean restaurant across the street from the office.

It was fun, but a little weird that I was leaving.

We took these photos:

"Afternoon and evening agenda..."

Took off right after that to Bill's place to get my computer, hung out with him for a little bit and then moved the computer to Yalan's place at 3 p.m. where the PC will remain for the time being.

Yalan and I set up the computer and went through a serious training session -- I didn't realize just HOW much I was handling on my own until now, sheesh -- and didn't get done until 7 p.m.

'Twas weird to hand off those duties to her.

By the time I made it back to Flora's to drop off my things, my head hurt and I really wanted to slow down, but I barely had enough time to say hi before having to run out to meet Bill (Chen) and Kim who were visiting from the bay area and were joining us for dinner this evening.

I happened to be talking to Linda (Hirschfeld), she mentions where THEY are having dinner, we end up joining them, and ran into Acer Ginny there who was with Vanessa and other friends.

'Twas very nice to catch up with Bill and Kim (your classic COUPLE from the U.S.), and later they went to the night market while I went back to the apartment to get some more things before heading back to Flora's.

I think it was this evening when Flora, John and I had a random conversation which lead to our realization that John went to junior high school with NELSON back in Dobbs Ferry.

The world is small, yes, but when we made that random connection, all three of us did a little freak number.

BIZARRO.
