Met up with Ginny for lunch at the Korean restaurant across the street from our building -- that place we discovered together not too long ago and I've been a big fan of their spicy cold noodle dish ever since -- and as usual, had a nice time with her. =)
Then took off for the Starbucks at the Da-An Station to meet up with Jennifer C, an Angel sent down from the Heavens...
One of the things I have been putting off for way too long is hiring people to input and manage our reference directories for the .COM website, as the directories we had from .ORG are incomplete, or simply outdated.
Given all that was on my mind, this was the last thing I had time to address and figured I'd deal with it once I get settled in the U.S., but I DID mention this to the developers who had suggested that there were electronic directories that I could simply purchase, so I posted an inquiry on Segue, not expecting anything, and thirty minutes later -- thirty minutes! -- I got an email from Jennifer, offering her services.
It was like an Angel... sent from the Heavens above...
Met up with her for the first time this afternoon -- we had emailed each other over the last few years but never met in person -- and hired her on the spot.
She's a real trooper -- very organized, professional, and experienced -- am really psyched to have her on board. =)
It's strange, but all the things that are needed to bring ORIENTED to fruition just seem to be falling into place... as if it was meant to be...
The rest of the afternoon was pretty busy as well, as I had my usual Tuesday meeting with the developers (this time during regular office hours, lol) and then went back to the apartment to finish packing since Adella was flying in this evening to take over my room.
I will admit...
When she started making herself comfortable in that room of mine, a part of me wanted to run back in and shove her back out into the living room.
