Sunday, February 25th This time it's for real. I didn't have the time to focus on the things I had hoped to get done today, too many things going on, but that's okay. I think I can handle ONE day without working on ORIENTED. The great thing about doing my own thing is that my time is pretty flexible although I do wish that there were more hours in a day. This is going to be a short entry today. Really. Last night was the second official GNO (Girls' Night Out) of the year. It was LOADS of fun. Makes me wonder why we didn't think about doing this earlier. Angela arranged for us to have dinner at an Indian restaurant near the Sherwood Hotel, and it was GOOD FOOD. I'm hooked! Unfortunately my camera wasn't doing too well in the dim light, but I did manage to get a few shots. Viola! Note the dessert. It made for quite an interesting table topic.

While I'm no expert when it comes to show reviews, I will say that this one was *painful*. It was right up there with the Joy Luck Club and I was QUITE relieved to find out later that others reacted the same way I did because the people sitting around *US* didn't seem to get it at all. You have to be first generation Asian immigrants (or the generation just before or after) to really appreciate the depth of that production. A very well done performance. Ginny had called me 45 minutes before the show was to begin (2 p.m.) and apparently just woke up so I told her to HURRY, as it would take her a half hour to get to the National Theatre from her home. She was planning to buy her ticket at the door, but unfortunately, it was completely sold out. *Bleep!* We couldn't BELIEVE it. I felt so bad because I was the one who convinced her to come. But here's a cool shot I took of her outside of the theatre.

I took a bunch of photos after the show when we all met up in the main lobby, but I didn't realize until after I downloaded them from the camera that most were of Acer Ginny who was CLEARLY on some sort of fact-finding mission. Click on the photo below to see what I'm talking about. We then took off for Thai food which is always YUMMY.
