We had a great dinner at Mei-Kung Thai restaurant last night, and afterwards we headed up to the newest club in Taipei called Plush, located on the 12th floor of the new Core Pacific Mall. My first time at both places.

The layout of Plush reminded me of Opium Den but much larger, and wow. There was seriously a lot of people. The only faces I didn't see besides Wayne S. and Wendy (we thought they'd come!) were Acer Ginny, Flora, and Patty, but that's because they're out of town.

I was never much of an OD fan. Same applies to Plush, lol!

It's a cool place I guess, just not my cup of cha. =)

It was the mall itself that I had a reaction to, one not necessarily positive. The SIZE of the mall reminded me very much of the ones we saw in Shanghai, except in Shanghai there are TONS of them, literally side by side. Once you get inside, it just goes on forever.

From a shopping point-of-view, it's a paradise of sorts... an endless stream of shops and eateries and nifty little stands. But from an EMERGENCY EXIT point-of-view, that place is a freakin' nightmare! I could go into detail here, but suffice it to say that it took me about 20 minutes to get down to the front entrance, and I was actually trying. Each time I attempted to take the elevator, it would be too crowded so I'd go down a few floors and try again, but with the same problem. And, on each floor, the location of the escalators aren't always where you'd think they'd be, so sometimes you have to walk around a bit to find them, or have to backtrack at a dead end.

Being in that building creeps me out.

Enough said.

I spent the day responding to emails, catching up on some work, and chatting with Tommy for a little bit. Haven't talked to him in awhile. He's doing well, funny as heck, per usual. I was hoping to get back to the gym this afternoon but ran out of time. I haven't been since the holidays set in and am feeling a big ICKY right now, know what I mean?

I'm having dinner with Sherman tonight and then I think I'm just going to chill out this evening in preparation for this upcoming week. I'm hoping for some significant progress to happen with regards to ORIENTED.COM just before Chinese New Years rolls around though I do realize I'm asking a bit much...

... we'll see what happens.
