"Try it, see what happens..."

Is it obvious that I'm totally kickin' back here? lol! No worries, I'm still VERY much determined to break this down, but I accept my current limitations, which are:

  • Though I've set up a bunch of meetings, they are scheduled during off-work hours. Can't do much about that.

  • Chinese New Years is just around the corner, i.e., few people are in "work" mode besides myself, it seems. What can I do? Beat them on the head with my business plan? Hmmm...

  • Most of all, I approach this stage (financing) like I approach a job search or my perpetual MANHUNT, which is --> Wing it, KEEP winging it, and see what happens. Might as well enjoy myself in the process!
I'm one of those people who, when looking for a job, will set ridiculous milestones ("send out 20 resumes a day", "talk to so-and-so and so-and-so", etc.) and operate like a mechanical robot. I just keep going and going and going, and when I do finally land that job, I'm like, "What... ?! That's it... ?! But I still need to contact 25 more companies!" -- just because it's on my things-to-do list.

Back to what I was saying...

Outside of the above, I'm just plugging away at more screen shots. The more I have defined, the faster it will be for the web developers to get the site up and running. I'm also writing up a huge list of people I need to contact for financing assistance. It's an interesting exercise to go through... prioritizing people based on the probability of getting their MULA!

LOL!

"In the virtual community..."

I'm sure Benboy will love me for this one, as will Vince...

I'm busy. Sure. But I take breaks too, lol! Benboy thought I was crazy to have the time to read up on his journal, but the truth is that I derive much inspiration from reading other people's journals! When I get a chance, I like to open up my 10+ favorites from my webring all at once and then flip around to see what everyone is up to. It's such a *vibrant* community, full of thoughts and emotions! It's great!

Plus, I flip from window to window pretty darn fast!

LOOK OUT PEEPS... TOOT TOOT!

Anyway, so I was reading up on Benboy's site last night, and it made me laugh so hard that I cried. I read it again today at the office, and it made me cry again! Basically, the poor guy got a really bad haircut (he posted pictures of it too), but the way he described it had me ROFL! An excerpt below from his January 22 entry (I underlined the parts that HURT me):

man, what i thought was just another ordinary
haircut at the usual place turned out to be
something i, myself, couldn't have imagined.
i usually have my sides shaved off, trimmed
slightly on top and long on the front. i
thought the hairdresser(not the usual one i
have) understood what i said.

well, i guess not, she went shaver-happy,
probably put the shaver setting on high too,
turned into a mad doctor and fzzzzzzzzt. oh
gawd! she did not! nooooo!

yes, kiddies, she did, she shaved my hair on
top. so *sigh* might as well. no use arguing...

i know, for some people it's pretty much a
normal haircut and having it that short. but
the thing is, i've never ever had my hair
this short. never, ever, i'm sure i was born
with long hair and it's going to stay that
way for a while until this.

it's just i feel like i'm half naked having
this much hair on me, i mean, whatever's left
of it, anyway.

so, to cover up this massive imperfection on
top of my head, i bought a cap, not just any
cap, a nike cap, a nike cap for 18 dollars,
*bleep!* (i was in panic mode) ok, let's see,
the haircut was 12 dollars, cap 18, and if i
remember my algebra and calculus correctly,
that's 30 dollars...

the most expensive haircut i've ever had and
i could've just done it myself.

but i try to look at the brighter side of
things. at least when i play basketball,
it'll be easier for me to squirm around my
opponents cuz i'm more aerodynamic now, u
know?

*rolls eyes* well, whatever...

"Okay so I underlined just about everything... LOL!"
