Love me or leave me baby.

I guess my ENERGY has kicked back in because I am totally WIRED. I irritated myself today (let me say that again -> I irritated myself today) by editing files in Textpad before they finished downloading and then uploading them to the site with INCOMPLETE HTML, forcing me to go back and reconstruct all of the pages again! How very stupid of me. Gods.

Also, Gus helped me to figure out how to reduce the number of windows that open through a javascript code that for the life of me I could not understand. I keep telling people that I'm a TECHNO DING DONG but no one believes me until they actually see it for themselves.

For example. The very first time I tried to listen to my CD at the office, I slipped it into the A:drive (5.25 floppy), put my headphones on and then got pissed because I wasn't hearing anything. My colleague had to help me tip my hard drive over to knock the CD back out.

Whatever.

I fought with those java thingies much too long and finally gave up altogether. Gus ended up sending me the codes to copy/paste. Aren't I pathetic?

Jennifer surprised me with an email today telling me that she liked the site! I didn't know she knew and was JUST going to tell her about it today! Wow. Jen if you're reading this, thanks girl! Last week I asked those with full-length profiles to check for final edits. I also informed my relatives (and discovered an AWOL cousin in the process). Now that I've had a week to tweak the site, I'm telling everyone else on the Who's Who list today. On Friday afternoon when people are least likely to be working at the office (haha) I'm sending out an email to all those in my address book.

Next week we go for all of the people whose business cards that I have not yet entered into my email system (see picture above = 1/3), and I may even try to convince Gus to add a blurb in the following week's Email Bulletin, something to the effect of "Ever wonder how ORIENTED began or where it is headed"? And after that, I contact the press. In the meantime, I'll write up the missing profiles and get back to my nasty financials which I haven't looked at in months.

Again. I can either labor in obscurity for the next 20 years or I can tell the whole world what the heck I'm doing NOW. If I get funding, GREAT. If not, I've got TONS of other stuff I want to do with my life and therefore would like to get started ASAP. By the time I'm done, at least people wil have heard of ORIENTED. Am I crazy or what.

Humor of the day...

Unrelated, I added a funny element to the Homepage. By clicking on the photo in today's journal box, a .wav or .ram file pops up, indicating my mood for the day. Much better than those MOOD SMILIES that I've seen on some personal sites which are oh so TACKY... in my humble opinion of course. Album of the year as far as this site's concerned?

YEAH BABY. Going to the computer market with Adella tonight. Who knows. I may come back with a webcam AND a laptop. We'll see what happens.
