I've only been back in Taipei for three days and yet have seen and talked to SO MANY PEOPLE already, sheesh! I was TRYING to lay low and get some much needed rest before calling people up again, but... oh well!

• Ginny called on Monday to tell me that RICHARD was in town again but was leaving for the States THAT evening. So I ran over to say hello to all of them and goodbye to Richard, lol!

• Acer Ginny called with her all-year-round cheer and wanted to hook up for dinner. How can anyone say no to Ms. Ginny?! She surprised me with the coolest belated birthday gift -- a metal gift basket of goodies. CUTE!

• Nelson and Zhang ZiYi missed their flight from Bangkok (visited Laos, Cambodia, and Anchor Wot) and didn't get in until late yesterday so we could only meet up for lunch today! They leave tonight back for the U.S. All three of us were a little weirded out since it's been over two YEARS since they were living here.

• Wennie, whose last day at work was December 31st, popped in to do some research at the library downstairs. SO NICE TO SEE YOU MY DEAR! It was only today that I noticed her NATURAL PINK CHEEKS. Wennie being half Shanghainese and all.

  (Don't tell her what I said about Shanghainese women...)

  

• And Yalan called me from her office yesterday... her first day back from MATERNITY LEAVE. Yep... she had a baby. Sheesh! And all the while I kept double-booking with other people and barely remembering what I was supposed to do with whom and why and when.

WHAT'S MY NAME AGAIN?!

GASP!

Note:
I do realize that Anchor Wot is not spelled "Anchor Wot" but I was too busy to look up the proper spelling. I may not be the SMARTEST cookie on the block but I'm smart enough to know what a ding dong I really am. LOL!
